I always remember Aunt Dorothy as my Dad's "kid sister." Her warmth, graciousness, intelligence, and most of all, her beautiful smile always made her my "favorite relative to visit" when I was a kid. She always reminds me of her mother, my grandmother, who was a remarkable woman in her own right. Over the years, we have had a wonderful, if occasional, relationship with Aunt Dorothy. I have only occasionally lived near enough to visit very often, but as her kids have grown, we have developed great relationships with some of them as well. Karen and I are now fellow-midwesterners, and have been able to get together. I will never forget when my son Scott and I ran into Katie in Church in Paris! More recently, Roger was our "expert chef" advisor, when we were staying in the Provo Marriott.

Margie and I, and all of our kids (who all remember their brief encounters with Aunt Dorothy with fondness) wish our beloved Aunt Dorothy a wonderful 80th birthday (the youngest 80 year old you will EVER meet!!), and many more years of blessing all of our lives.

Love, Mike (Michael W. Draper, Nephi's son)

Happy Birthday Grandma!
We hope you have a wonderful birthday and we can't wait to see you !!

Just wanted to share some of my favorite memories. I always enjoyed going to your house every Christmas Eve and singing Christmas carols while you or Karen played the piano. I had so much fun!!

Thank you so much for letting me rent out your basement apartment. I remember one day when you came home and could smell my brownies baking in the oven and you were so worried that I was baking just to stay warm because you forgot to turn the air conditionor off!! Ha! Ha!

My kids loved going all the way to your house for trick or treating!! :)
I also remember how much fun we all had doing Easter Egg hunts at your house. Even though it wasn't eggs we were hunting!! It was always so exciting to see what kind of treats you had hidden!!
I remember when Derrick and I would sneak into your pantry for your famous dried apples!! And our first ride in the elevator!! :)
Thanks so much for all your love and support. We love you!!
Love Andrea & Family

Happy Birthday Grandma!!

Happy Birthday to the woman who has provided me with some of the best memories of my life: Grandma's Green Beans (adding bacon and onions is pure genius), Pilgrim hat dixie cups full of M&M, nuts and mints at Thanksgiving, word puzzles, Kool-Aid mixed with sprite, board games, the true value book collection and more disney movies than they have in the "vault" in Anaheim!

Grandma has always demonstrated her love for her family and the gospel which has been a blessing to us all! Thankfully Grandma has a forgiving heart, or else I wouldn't have made it past 14.....I still have to laugh at myself for not being willing to hug Grandma at the airport when I went on my mission--they had told us to only hug our Moms (can you say Matt was taking things a little too seriously?!).

I love you Grandma!! Thank you for never forgetting a birthday, for always supporting your family and for loving us all even when we do dumb things!!

Matt (and Heather, Cannon, Luke, Henry and Matthew)

Hi Aunt Dorothy!

I was with a displaced section of the Draper family, Mandy and Earl Thorpe moved to Southern Calif. before I was born. I will always remember the annual Summer trip back to the "roots" in Salt Lake. We would spend time with all the family groups. For me it meant fun with my cousins! As an "only" it was neat to see my Mom with her sisters, they were such a close group! Glad I got the invite to be in on the big celebration! Thanks!!! Family pic: Me, Mark, Erin and Whitney.
